2026The Canto Table Lamp leverages the unique properties of wet molded leather to create rigid volumes from an originally pliable surface. A two dimensional material gains a third as geometry is pressed into the leather. Engaging in a transaction of material qualities, the leather trades some of its tenderness for a confidence in form. The shade balances on top of a machined base contrasting its impressionability with the certainty of precision made parts.
